Leasing

Q: How does TCGi structure its lease payments?
A: Customers can choose to pay in advance or arrears, as well as monthly, quarterly, annually or semi-annually.

Q: What are the different types of leases TCGi offers?
A; TCGi can provide capital leases and operating leases.

Q: What are TCGi’s end-of-lease options?
A: Leases can be written as FMV in which the lessee can purchase the equipment at Fair Market Value at the end of the lease. Another option is the $1 buyout. To purchase this type of equipment would cost just one dollar. Lessee can also opt to extend current leases on a month-to-month basis, if necessary.

Q: Why would a company choose to lease its technology instead of purchasing it outright? Isn’t it more costly to lease than to purchase?
A: The common misperception is that leasing equipment is more costly than purchasing it. However, the answer is actually the reverse – leasing and total asset management is a more cost-effective solution. Why? Because the purchase price reflects only a small percentage of the total cost to own equipment. Once you factor in the lifecycle support and end-of-life costs, you have a truer picture of the whole financial scenario. Added to that is the fact that TCGi takes a residual position in FMV leases, discounting the amount the lessee has to pay. All costs are factored in at the beginning of the lease at today’s cost of funds, resulting in no additional costs at the end of the lease term.

A: TCGi’s solutions are flexible and can be customized to meet different client needs. We work with you to determine what your needs are today and how they might change during a typical lifecycle of 36 months. Whether it is reporting, billing or lease-end documentation, we have the ability to modify our standard procedures to meet your needs.

Q: When equipment is no longer useable, what do you do with it?
A: TCGi remanufactures equipment with residual value and remarkets it or donates it to non-profit organizations. Hard drives are wiped with processes that exceed DOD standards. Equipment with no value is responsibly recycled. First, devices are disassembled and separated into component parts for disposal by state permitted recyclers. Hard drives are removed and immediately destroyed.
